Sorry for the random and sudden disappearance on here. I just stop caring for this site, and the updates don't help with the UI. I have basically moved to FurAffinity, under the name "LowestRaptor". I still keep this profile on for the Sta.sh uses, but more importantly RPs here on dA with me are no longer being continued or encouraged through here. My life has been developing fast, and gotten busy in my older age. 27 now and all. I have too many memories here to delete, but too many bad memories to stay. So if you want to talk to me directly now, I'll be answering on FurAffinity or Discord through a note to make sure no bot finds my Discord code.

So sorry for the no update for it.

I wanna go back to this point after dropping Odyssey today as the level grinding system isn't all that fun. And I know I pointed it out before that I don't like much of the newer ones but I want to return to this argument with a calm mind.

Assassin's Creed has been the biggest series where I cared more about its story than its gameplay. The reason people love the new ones is because of its RPG mechanics. That's not the reason why I hate the new ones, they all have good stories and gameplay...its how they did the RPG mechanics. Let's go to Assassin`s Creeds' biggest inspiration: The Witcher 3. The Witcher 3 is a RPG game where it has its level system, and this entry fixed the original 2's issues with its game design: The gameplay. It perfected the Open World RPG genre for future games looking to copy what made Witcher 3 successful, however Ubisoft to me ruined my experience by putting a level cap on the story. And its not me being super lazy, though I do like everything before Origins: It was the fact putting a level cap on the main story to prevent you just maxing out the game's story before completing its side quests. This is not how you make leveling up fun. When I see a fun level system, I see the Witcher 3. For example: You can do the entire Main story without even touching its side quests, same for The Elder Scrolls with Skyim. The Witcher 3 doesn't limit you on how much you can do the story, in fact my friend actually played it so much that he could do the Death March difficulty, and all you really need to do is attack and respond to what the game throws at you. Dodging and using potions effectively when needed. Its possible for the right player, and it still doesn't tell you its impossible to continue the main story due to your gear and level. What Odyssey has done made my friend stop playing it the same way as me. There's no reward for leveling up another 10 levels to just continue story outside of abilities and stats, which don't matter much to me. I don't know if its because of the Greek setting, or the story, or the level system...but something about Odyssey isn't fun, but I wanted to like it. The reason I finished Origins was because the story wasn't too strict to force you to level up to make it easier for you. Now I might sound like an overreacting fanboy, but hear me out. There are ways to fix this issue, and the biggest thing is remove this fucking level cap system on the main story:

Have Main Story be at least 3 levels higher above you if you just do it consistently and never do side quests, not a grind to get to lvl 31 if the last one was lvl 22, and still give tons of EXP. Have the challenges be a swarm of tougher enemies like brutes or more heavy shield soldiers, or bosses that are actually pretty tough and you just have to read their moves. (I get that's the new gimmick, but they shouldn't be unstunnable 24/7 at insane levels). Grinding levels yes can be fun to most people, but offer that for other content like side quest lines that offer a big reward if you continue with it with the story on the side. Like a quest line that can reward you possibly really high end gear at the end but you do it in arcs like the story does. By the time you get it, it'll be the level you finish it with at the end. Like say...lvl 15 to start it. And finish it at lvl 25, where the required level and stats in order to have it is already there, as lvl 25 is the final quest. That's how you do something interesting than doing Side Quests that are just go here, steal, bring it back. Profit. Witcher 3's quick side quests had at least a story behind it, as Geralt just smart mouths them for being a dick.

Have Side Quests reward more EXP than Main Story, and give you more rewards than just money and only a few give a quest leveled gear (and remove the scaled level option, as that doesn't DO ANYTHING FOR EVERYTHING ELSE), they should give you good gear, not "Oh its at your level but worse than what you have).

Have ways to level up without having to spend time on 10 or more quests just to even get enough to LEVEL UP AT LEAST 2-3 TIMES. The EXP system on some of these quests are really little in comparison. Plus Make Side quests interesting for my time besides the reward. Having a person who asks you to find something from a barracks to retrieve isn't compelling. At least all of Witcher 3's side quests felt like their own episodes of Geralt exploring the world.

With these jotted down, I'm still hopeful for Assassin's Creed: Valhalla to fix this Leveling issue, though I'm being careful now. To me this would make the game at least decent for me to play. I want to play with a rewarding Leveling system than just abilities. Unlocking them all doesn't push me to continue playing. The content like story and gear does.

Though I was VERY, VERY worrying after Odyssey, I just hope that they listened to the people, like myself, who started to HATE the Over leveled Bounty Hunters that roams on their own around missions where they shouldn't be around. That and also make more interesting side quests that offer more rewards than just a free weapon, armor piece, or just money. I wouldn't mind if they do like, since in this game you can customize your Viking Village and create your own Viking Mercs to send to friends to assist them (npc squads), give like "You can get a rare weapon part for this." or "doing this increases your village's population." or even "doing this will grant you an upgrade to your village."
I know Odyssey did things that people like, but I'm grown past that previous argument I had with the new series. Odyssey sure did alot of new things, but the story so far didn't captivate me, and dislike forced to do Side Missions if they aren't interesting. That's a me thing.

I feel like talking about this one after completing it last night. Also I wasn't a FF7 fanboy before this.

There's alot of people who've been saying Square Enix false advertise Final Fantasy 7 Remake, I stand on the side that mayhaps it was intentional.

:bademoticon: :bademoticon: :bademoticon: This review will talk about spoilers, so if you haven't played the game then please shy away from this review unless you don't care and want to know. :bademoticon: :bademoticon: :bademoticon:

Okay now that you got through the line of warnings, if you bothered to click and scrolled down to avoid it.

Final Fantasy 7 Remake is a remake that isn't afraid to go forward against its OG/Original timeline. The game bluntly shows this with the main cast trying to tempt fate and do something different, only to get cock-blocked by these ghosts things known as Whispers. Beings where they protect the main flow of time itself, as one reviewer called them, the manifested FF7 Fans themselves trying to protect and hoping for the 1 to 1 faithful story they come to know and love. To me that's a great gimmick for Cloud and crew to break their chains of fate and defy the fans to a knew level of hype and story building. Square Enix isn't changing it out of spite or ha ha April Fools jokes, they made an Expansion disguised as a Remake to give the illusion its a 1 to 1 exact game, similar to how there's illusions in the game to give off the vibe of yes no one can see them, because Aerith can as she's a Cetra and was always tempting fate. The first big difference is its new combat, a heavily modified Real Time ATB system, where people were unsure about its new action real time combat over the original Turned Based ATB (You spend a power bar to execute abilities, spells and items in battle). People were giving so much hate to this new story, saying Square Enix lied about the game. To me...you can't advertise like one or the other:
If you advertised the new FF7 as an expansion or retelling, people would complain its the same game until the end.
If you advertised the new FF7 as a sequel, then people would be complaining they aren't adding anything new to what's there.

The Remake is the illusion, you're putting to much faith into the game's 1 to 1 story, and in that of itself you are forcing the game to be a certain way, expecting the events to line up as you saw them. Cloud is always trying to break free of that shackle that the Fans call OG story. Its Square Enix's way of showing the fans you can love a game more than how you originally perceived it. That's the lesson, that they are attempting to make a Remake where its changed, as its rebuilt from the ground up. I give this game 11 out of 10 for the first review ever I've done. Yes there's a few meh parts, but the overall Story Telling is great. You may disagree, but just remember no one is saying those that are disappointed are wrong, they have the right to. Just don't hate my opinion.

 (For sound effect)

When I heard about this new Multiplayer mode for the Next Gen remake of Resident Evil 3...I was stoked to play as the Mastermind. Able to control the field as an Antagonist laughing evilly as the test subjects wince in pain trying to progress.... turned out to be nothing but a legit shit show.

As the Mastermind you are suppose to control the field, slow the 4 man survivor team enough to kill them. The only issue? They rush through it fast enough where you can't slow them down enough to wither their health down. You only inconvenience their time for like seconds. Its smart for them to be as a team, but its annoying for me as the solo Mastermind. Every zombie I throw out to attack them dies in like 2-4 hits with melee and bullets, they never are alone, and they have so much health as Survivors. Its not fun. I rather play with a thumb up my ass than continue playing whatever CAPCOM thought would be FUN. Don't play the Multiplayer. Until they somehow fix it, by balancing wtf they created....its not fun. What. So. Ever.
